www.winterslament.com www.imdb.com This is the trailer for HELLRAISER: DEADER – WINTER’S LAMENT (2009), a non-profit independent fan film prequel to the seventh Hellraiser film. It is a nonlinear character study of the antagonist “Winter” from HELLRAISER: DEADER (2005), and both incorporates and re-creates events from HELLRAISER: DEADER, HELLRAISER: BLOODLINE (1996), the fan film HELLRAISER: PROPHECY (2006) and THE PROPHECY (1995). The film is written and directed by Jonathan S. Kui, with Direc. of Photog. John Hudak, Jr. and original music by Adonis Aletras. The film stars Pete Mizzo (“Winter”), April mccullough (“Bobbi Merchant”) and Gina Montrone (“Marla”), and Drummond Doroski (“Pinhead”). Filmed at locations in Lake Ronkonkoma and Cold Spring Harbor, NY and at Liberty Studios in NYC. Pre-production began late summer, 2007. Production began Feb 02, 2008 and finished Mar 02, 2008. The film is currently in post-production, with completion predicted for 2009. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) This is an independently financed, nonprofit, volunteer fan film, NOT a studio-backed industry production. 2) This is a character study with horror elements, not a strict horror narrative. 3) This is a story about Winter, not the Cenobites, though they do make an appearance or two. We also invite you to check out other HELLRAISER fan films on youtube, including HELLRAISER: PROPHECY (ours), HELLBENT: A HELLRAISER CHRONICLE (UK), THE HELLRAISER CHRONICLES: LIFEBRINGER (UK), HELLRAISER: MASALA NIGHTMARES (India), SKANKOBITE (US), HELLRAISER: ANUTHER DIMENSION (sic, US), HELLRAISER: APOCALYPSE (US), HELLRAISER: PWERTO and arguably the best HR fan film, Gary Tunnicliffe’s NO MORE SOULS. Hell yeah!

I am really psyched to see this film, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not good, it’s a great idea in which most people would not comprehend, I love Clive Barker’s tails, but a fresh new idea to bring back so light on the lesser films is always welcome!

As for your unnecessarily rude reply (which I didn’t post) let me re-emphasize: nobody’s forcing you to watch the film when it’s done, much less the trailer. If you don’t like this, don’t watch it. Telling me “Yo amo Hellraiser” doesn’t make your opinion stronger to me, because I love HR too. That’s why I’m telling a story, rather than doing nothing but writing rude comments to those who actually do. You don’t like this? Then don’t watch it. It’s that simple.

  7. jonathankui says:

I doubt that this fan film will, in any way affect the classic HR, so just relax. And yes, I’m an amateur filmmaker who’s not out to “ruin the film” but rather to tell a story for free that connects HR4, HR7 and HRP in a logical way. If that’s not what you’re interested in, that’s fine.

  8. jonathankui says:

Lake Ronkonkoma is a town in Long Island… Not particularly well known, for what it’s worth…

  9. jonathankui says:

Fair enough… I’ve always said that this film isn’t for everyone… (I say the same about HRP as well). But, either way, it’s simply a story that I wanted to tell.

  10. moonlily1 says:

what lake? don’t know what you’re talking about. where is it, is it well known?

  11. moonlily1 says:

I’m sorry, but your trailer does not make the film look interesting.

  12. PERFECTYRIGILLO says:

  17. jonathankui says:

Thanks for the interest! It was a lack of training, experience and resources more than it was a lack of time, but we tried to improve with this attempt, by bringing in people trained in acting, lighting, sound and cinematography… I’ll keep trying to do better… But again, thanks for the feedback… :)

  18. weasalpj says:

The one problem I noticed with Hellraiser Prophecy (besides low budget) was the blond girl came across as wooden. I think this is because she didn’t pause or look like she was searching for words. Angelique and Lucifer were the same but they’re demon and devil and can get away with being so glib. A normal human doesn’t just rattle the line off.
Maybe it was a lack of time that did this but can you tear/draw good performances out of your cast.
PS Appreciate the attempts even if not perfect.

  19. jonathankui says:

That’s fair enough… :) Sadly, though, this will be a character study, not a full-blown narrative, so this won’t be everybody’s cup of tea… Cheers!

  20. BendikBS says:

Maybe you should have put a little more action in it, because it was a bit boring. But apart from that, good.

  21. Speedofsmell says:

its not your filming its your subject matter if you want a real ghost story from lake ronkonkoma send me a message i got some creepy shit for u i grew up there for 20 years

  22. jonathankui says:

Hello! The D.P. used a Canon XL-1. We’re going to use Sony Vegas to pull the footage down from 30fps to 24fps progressive… Cheers!

  23. earthofdoom9003 says:

Hi again!=D What kind of camera did you use to make the film?

  24. SPOUG says:
