Nikhil Advani next film, which was previously titled Made in China, was renamed as China Chandni Chowk. The film stars Akshay Kumar front Deepika Padukone, who is the acting debut of Farah Khan’s recently released film Om Shanti Om. Chandni Chowk China are produced by Ramesh Sippy Entertainment and Orion Pictures. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. Upon submission of this report, Ramesh Sippy, Rohan Sippy entertainment was available for comment. The film is the music of Shankar, Ehsaan and LOY, and was penned by Shridhar Raghavan. The story of Chandni Chowk China revolves around Akshay Kumar – the cook who is among a number of Kung Fu hullabaloo in China.

(7) I did like the movie a lot, but in the end it WAS a flop (unfortunately). Please stop arguing about this and understand that, although Bollywood is great at making Indian movies, they’re still learning to become more diverse. And besides, the filmmakers already apologized (or so I’ve read)…and if that was just a gossip…they should apologize for any incorrect information they presented with their movie.
(6) But the filmmakers need to take their work a bit more seriously and realize that films aren’t JUST for entertainment (although that IS one of the main reasons), their creations can have serious affects on others. And if their sole purpose was to entertain others, they should have done that without using such a serious topic (…using another culture as their base storyline).
(5) I personally LOVED this movie – great comedy (although I do laugh easily..so that’s debatable), and DEEPIKA IS GORGEOUS!! I also loved the whole female fighter thing with Deepika!! And Bollywood is always great with their creative choreography, songs, and music videos!
(4) But I think Bollywood is still experimenting with a lot of new things in their films (animation, diversity..). Animation can be experimented with, but diversity is a very risky topic to experiment with …they should have known that before they went ahead and made a movie about another country that has an equal amount of tradition and cultural significance.
(3) Honestly they should have done a LOT more research before making a movie that involves another culture (especially in a world that can only see things from the negative perspective) – I learned NOTHING about China from this movie (or nothing new anyway).
The Disney movie Mulan was one of my favorite movies …it gives an insight into a lot of the Chinese cultures and obviously a lot of research was done before making the movie. It took like ..3 years to make the movie!! (if not longer!).
(2) The filmmakers wanted to show that India is aware of the other countries in this world, and is also diverse (..atleast the way I see it).
Unfortunately, even though they had the right intentions, their efforts (for showing diversity in their films) was very poorly done.
(1) Okay enough with all the arguments already!! Why do you people always have to look at things negatively?!?! Ever thought that MAYBE the people who made the movie wanted to add a bit of diversity to their bollywood movies?? Indian movies are great! And people all over the place (even in Hollywood) are beginning to recognize Bollywood ..but is Bollywood JUST a film industry??
But i went and saw this movie like 2 dayz ago…its kinda wierd but the story line is really interesting and its really amazing too and the movie is actually really good…
